One language.
Tools to explore it.

Start with the compiler, learn from the docs, try code in your browser, or work in your editor. Each tool is developing at its own pace.

Published prerelease versions are not stable releases. Read each project's compatibility notes before relying on a feature.

01Experimental prerelease

Language foundation

Scarp compiler

Published: v0.0.6-alpha.3

The official Rust interpreter, language implementation, CLI, and release source.

Know before using: Published v0.0.6-alpha.3 adds deterministic topk and topk_values plus temperature-controlled softmax and logsoftmax. Earlier opt-in Rust compiler caches and source inspection remain. No automatic incremental CLI, general native .srp compiler, stable language or integrated LSP.

02Actively developed

Reference & guides

Scarp Docs

Installation, language explanations, tooling reference, and guides in English and Hindi.

Know before using: Some examples are pinned to earlier compiler versions; check each page's compatibility notes.

03Experimental alpha

Try in the browser

Scarp Playground

Published: v0.0.1

Monaco-based browser editor that runs a pinned Scarp interpreter via Rust/WebAssembly.

Know before using: Experimental browser execution only; native compilation and server-side execution are not offered.

04Early prerelease

Hands-on learning

Scarp by Example

Published: v0.1.0-alpha.1

Browsable lessons with runnable .srp source, expected output, and bilingual explanations.

Know before using: Lessons are checked against compiler v0.0.5-alpha.3; examples do not execute inside this site's browser.

05Experimental prerelease

Editor tooling

Scarp for VS Code

Published: v0.1.2

Syntax highlighting and commands for running and verifying Scarp files with the official compiler.

Know before using: Requires a compatible Scarp interpreter; native compilation and project builds are not supported.

Choose a starting point

A practical path through Scarp.

  1. Learn: Read the official docs or browse the example lessons.
  2. Experiment: Open the browser playground or download a compiler release for local use.
  3. Build your workflow: Explore the VS Code extension and check compatibility with your installed compiler.
  4. Contribute: Read the contribution guide or report a problem with a reproducible example.

The homepage examples and downloads use a separately verified compiler v0.0.5-alpha.1 baseline. Newer project prereleases listed above do not automatically update that baseline.
