Releases & changelog
Progress worth checking.
Versions worth keeping.
Every Scarp prerelease is experimental. The newest public download and the version used to test this website's examples are listed separately.
Published release information reviewed . The GitHub release archive is authoritative if another version ships.
v0.0.6-alpha.3
Deterministic Top-K and temperature-controlled probabilities.
Scarp v0.0.6-alpha.3 adds pure topk and topk_values built-ins for stable candidate ranking, plus softmax_temp and logsoftmax_tempfor finite vector probabilities at a positive temperature. Equal scores retain original-index tie ordering. Numerical work and allocation bounds still apply.
Internal compiler-owned scalar IR, branch/slot validation and test-only interpreter differential checks improve experimental C11 subset correctness; they do not add general native compilation. Earlier optional Rust compiler caches, read-only symbol navigation, offline projects and vector rms are retained. There is no integrated LSP, GPU backend, tensor framework, random sampling, or nativescarp compile CLI.
Read the alpha.6.3 feature overview and its pinned example outputs, or the previous cache feature note.
Pre-built archives are published for Windows x64, Linux x64 GNU and macOS Apple Silicon. This is still an alpha—not a stable compiler, native executable generator, package registry or GPU backend.

v0.0.5-alpha.1
Tested Scarp examples
The runnable snippets on this website are checked against the exact v0.0.5-alpha.1 interpreter source, including source modules, typed functions and numerical foundations. This baseline is intentionally older than the current published release.
Use the matching version for reproducing the featured examples. Newer compiler packages use updated CLI commands and may change behavior; three homepage fixtures have also passed their exact-output checks under v0.0.6-alpha.3; that does not certify every Scarp program or page example. See the compatibility evidence.
Release history and compatibility
GitHub maintains the authoritative release archive. The pinned baseline changelog provides historical context. Syntax and commands can differ between prereleases, so match examples to the compiler version shown with them.
To update scripts and existing programs, read the published CLI migration guide for the version-by-version command differences through alpha.6, including project workflows and the new read-only symbol index.
See the ecosystem directory to find Scarp Docs, the browser Playground, Scarp by Example and editor tooling. Each project publishes its own compatibility information.
